Thanks for the feedback! I know I'm gonna buy a Savage, because today I ordered the Clymer Manual! I've sat on several Savages in dealer's showrooms, but the thing that's going to require a change are the stock handlebars! When I turn them to the stops, the ends jab me in the thighs.
A pair if 2" risers would provide enough clearance, or maybe a different style of bar. Would the stock control cables have enough slack for 2" risers? Also, I prefer an extreme rear seating position, almost to the pillion. This would probably give me legroom, as long as the front end doesn't become too light and give me a wheelie at every takeoff!
